Apple has officially announced its annual Spring event, scheduled for September 9 at the Steve Jobs Theatre on its Cupertino, California campus, marking a pivotal moment as the company braces to accelerate its artificial intelligence ambitions.
At the heart of the presentation lies the highly anticipated iPhone 17 lineup.
According to TechCentral, Apple will introduce new models, including the iPhone 17 Air, which could be the company’s thinnest iPhone yet, measuring a mere 5.5 mm thick, complete with a 6.6-inch OLED ProMotion display.
The Air model is expected to spotlight a single 48-megapixel rear camera, eSIM-only connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, the new C1 5G modem, USB-C, MagSafe, and potentially 25W wireless charging.
There is also a possibility of a light-blue finish and the return of the iconic iPhone 4-style bumper case to complement the ultra-thin design.
Beyond that, the usual iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected, possibly rebranded as iPhone 17 Ultra.
These higher-tier models may boast a triple-lens camera system (48MP main, telephoto, ultra-wide), 12 GB of RAM, the full A19 Pro chip, improved battery performance, and potentially vapour-chamber cooling.
All models are rumoured to feature ProMotion 120 Hz displays, iOS 26 with its sleek “Liquid Glass” interface, and advanced AI-driven enhancements courtesy of Apple Intelligence. There’s also speculation that reverse wireless charging might debut—most likely exclusive to the Pro/Ultra variants.
Reuters reported that Apple is also poised to reveal new entry-level and high-end Apple Watch models, upgraded iPad Pros, and a faster version of its Vision Pro headset.
Apple's focus is on embedding artificial intelligence deeper into its software and hardware ecosystem.
The company is expected to unveil new iPhones, watches, and other devices, with the event seen as a showcase for its evolving AI strategy, according to Bloomberg News.
