At the opening of Auto Shanghai 2025, Jetour unveiled its cutting-edge GAIA architecture, marking a significant leap forward in hybrid off-road technology.
The launch included the debut of two new models built on this platform—the G700 and G900.
GAIA integrates two advanced powertrains: the Super Hybrid iDM-O and the Amphibious Off-Road Range Extender iEM-O.
Both systems deliver exceptional thermal efficiency and formidable performance. Enhancing its versatility, the architecture also features a smart off-road chassis designed to master a variety of terrains, along with marine-grade technology that allows for seamless transitions between land and water.
Further innovations include low-orbit satellite connectivity and an integrated oxygen generation system, reinforcing GAIA’s all-terrain, all-condition capability.
Positioned as premium off-road SUVs, the G700 and G900 redefine expectations in their class. With striking designs, powerful hybrid systems, and intelligent off-road enhancements, these vehicles set a new standard for performance and luxury in the segment.
Over the past six years, Jetour has steadily expanded its global presence, launching in over 80 international markets. Since its inception in 2019, the relatively young automotive brand has achieved a remarkable milestone—selling more than 1.6 million vehicles, making it the first manufacturer of its kind to reach this figure so quickly.
Jetour made its South African debut with the launch of the Jetour Dashing in late 2024. Building on that momentum, the company has since confirmed the upcoming arrival of the Jetour T1 and T2 models, expected by the end of 2025.
Following some investigation, it was confirmed that the Jetour G700 is indeed headed for South Africa, although its local launch is expected only in 2026 or 2027.
Jetour's popularity continues to grow in South Africa. In March 2025, the brand recorded its best-ever sales month in the country, with over 600 vehicles sold.
