Apple has unveiled the AirPods Pro 3, a bold evolution in audio wearables that blends acoustic ingenuity with health monitoring and ambient intelligence.
Beneath the surface lies a newly engineered multi-port acoustic architecture that tailors airflow with precision, enabling a more immersive spatial soundstage. Paired with next-generation Adaptive EQ, the system intelligently adjusts bass and clarity across frequencies based on your fit, shaping a vivid listening experience.
The earbud’s physical form has also been rethought: foam-infused ear tips improve passive noise isolation, while a refined shape, modelled from over 10,000 3D ear scans, enhances comfort and stability during active use, such as running or yoga.
Apple positions the AirPods Pro 3 as delivering “the world’s best in-ear Active Noise Cancellation,” citing a twofold improvement over the previous generation, and four times better suppression compared to the original model.
This leap stems not solely from hardware upgrades, but from ultra-low noise microphones and advanced audio processing algorithms that dynamically adapt to environmental noise.

Venturing into wearable health tech, the new AirPods embed a miniaturised photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, the smallest ever in an Apple device, to monitor heart rate during workouts. Metrics feed into Apple’s Fitness app, enabling built-in tracking across more than 50 activity types without needing an Apple Watch.
Simultaneously, Apple Intelligence powers a Live Translation feature, designed to interpret real-time, face-to-face dialogue via the AirPods in conjunction with an iPhone.

Engineered for life on-the-go, the AirPods Pro 3 include IP57 dust and water resistance, encouraging use during intense activities.
Battery life has been extended to 8 hours of continuous listening with ANC enabled, a meaningful 33% boost over its predecessor.
